Many entrepreneurs start their businesses with success, but over time, they encounter challenges and realize there’s more they need to know. Frustration sets in, and they may not know where to turn for help. Most of these issues are common among entrepreneurs and can be easily resolved.
I founded Fat Cat Enterprises, LC in 2018 to focus on helping businesses grow beyond the startup phase. While there’s plenty of support for startups, the resources for the next stages are limited. I specialize in working with companies operating for over a year, have one to five employees, and need guidance. This is my primary focus.
Travel is another passion of mine, and I bring a global perspective to my solutions, believing it helps businesses reach more customers. I often connect with new clients during my travels, especially those looking to enter the American market.
My goal is to work closely with small businesses, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to reach their goals and to continue supporting them as they grow.
About Trish
I've spent 20+ years in the business and economic development field, but my journey started in the kitchen. For 18 years, I worked as a cook, where I discovered a talent for numbers and quickly became known for my ability to solve issues related to food, operational, and labor costs, as well as management challenges. I was often called upon to 'clean up' failing kitchens.
When I decided to leave the hospitality industry, I transitioned to the non-profit sector, joining Catholic Charities in their refugee resettlement program. I designed an orientation program on American life and served as the instructor for all incoming refugees, working with individuals from 11 different countries and just as many languages. My work with Catholic Charities spanned four different periods as I moved into the economic development field.
In my time with WESST and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), I helped start 40 businesses per year, securing an average of $3.5 million in investment and funding. I was recognized as the highest-performing business advisor in New Mexico and across the US with SBDC, and I was the only bilingual advisor for both organizations during my tenure. Throughout my career, I’ve assisted over 1,000 businesses in New Mexico alone.
